This project investigates the gasoline/LPG duel fuel vehicle’s pollutant emission . Fifteen vehicles were selected from the in-use LPG modification market. The age of the selected vehicles are less than 5 years and modified within 2 years. Ten vehicles meet the requirement of stage 3 standard and the other five vehicles meet the requirement of stage 4 standard of Taiwan. The results of this project show that using LPG as fuel:  CO reduced 0.2781 g/km (reduced 39 %)  HC increased 0.0024 g/km (increased 4 %)  NOX increased 0.1295 g/km (increased 190 %)  CO2 reduced 23.20 g/km (reduced 11 %)  The toxic air pollutants reduced 28 ~ 74 % After the implementation of certification, the statistical results show that:  CO reduced 0.0795 g/km (reduced 18 %)  HC reduced 0.0066 g/km (reduced 11 %)  NOX reduced 0.1669 g/km (reduced 84 %) This project evaluates the gasoline/LPG duel fuel vehicle’s benefit. Base on these test results, LPG price, petrol prices and vehicle owner’s using condition, the benefit results are as follows:  The use of gasoline/LPG dual-fuel vehicles in Taiwan can reduce 20,979.44 tones of CO2 emission every year.  Before the implementation of certification, the use of gasoline/LPG dual-fuel vehicles in Taiwan can reduced 251.48 tones of CO emission every year. Increase 2.17 tones of HC emission every year. Increase 117.11 tones of NOX emission every year. After the implementation of certification, the use of gasoline/LPG dual-fuel vehicles in Taiwan can reduced 323.282 tones of CO emission every year. Reduce 3.798 tones of HC emission every year. Reduce 33.82 tones of NOX emission every year.  The use of gasoline/LPG dual-fuel vehicles in Taiwan can be saved 943,234,294 dollars every year.  Base on the LPG station’s financial, propose to be configured 33 LPG stations in Taiwan.  Economic considerations of the use of LPG, it is recommended from the station by car in less than 47.0 kilometers modified vehicles.  The gasoline/LPG dual-fuel car owners will think about the economic and the convenience, to choose the use of LPG and petrol. There is no additional traffic from the filling stations and pollution emissions. The project also visits refitted factories, provides services such as technology consulting and document application. The project also confirms the gasoline/LPG duel fuel vehicle’ certificates for the air pollutant emission and archives the admissible data. Before 2009/6/30, there are 20 vehicles to pass the exhaust pollution test and five factories to obtain certified emission certification.
